Lino Printing Inspired by Nature

27th April 2022 @ 10:00 am 3:30 pm

The Sussex Garden School

Once again Pitfield Barn Cut Flower Farm will be hosting Wendy Darby from  Juliet Sargeant’s Sussex Garden School, for an inspirational day of country crafting.

Lino Printing Inspired by Nature

Learn to carve your own beautiful linocuts and create original lino prints inspired by plants and nature.

Introduction

Join us at the beautiful, Pitfield Barn Cut Flower Farm to learn how to design and carve your own linocuts.
We begin with an introduction to linocut – how to use the carving tools and basic cutting techniques. At first, you will make your own small practice block to learn the techniques. Once confident, you will design your own A6 Block, taking inspiration from the gardens, resource materials or your own images.
You will be shown how to ink your lino block and burnish prints by hand.
Everyone will take home several completed images.
