Wild clay – time out to create
May 27th @ 9:30 am – 1:00 pm

A restorative space to take time out from daily life and connect to nature.
The session will begin with a gentle walk around the gardens with Emma (the owner of Pitfield) who will guide us around the flowers and plants. We will then stroll through the meadow collecting grasses and seed heads.
After homemade refreshments we will collect wild clay from the garden and I will show you how to make pots using hand building techniques.
We will then make marks and decorate the pots using tools and collected leaves, ferns and seeds.
Your wild clay pieces will be fired in a pit at Pitfield and be ready for collection a couple of weeks after your session.
Who for?

Children (up to 13 years old) must be accompanied by an adult.
