You will get to mill the Rye grain\, understand the benefit of different grades of flour\, and add Caraway\, Fennel\, and toasted seeds before making and shaping this delicious bread. We will then move on to making rye crackers\, plain or with parmesan and chilies.

These buns are a little more accessible than the large Stollen loaves eaten all over Germany. They are soaked with orange & spices with a perfectly formed ball of marzipan in the middle. The smell of these baking will bring Christmas to the barn. Once baked\, they are coated in butter and dusted with icing sugar. Perfect for this season. They also freeze well and can be kept for later in the season.

DESCRIPTION:Learn to carve your own linocuts and create original linoprints inspired by spring plants and wildlife\, on this immersive and relaxing crafting day. \n\n\n\nWe begin with an introduction to linocut – how to use the carving tools and basic cutting techniques. At first\, you will make your own small practice block to learn the techniques. You will be shown how to ink your lino block and burnish prints by hand. \n\n\n\nAfter a break for lunch and tour of the flower fields\, you will return to your creations. Once confident with the techniques\, you will design your own A6 Block\, taking inspiration from the gardens\, resource materials or your own images\, before printing it on to a range of stationery items. \n\n\n\nBy the end of the workshop you will have several completed images to take home.
