Spring Lino with Wendy Darby

Learn to carve your own linocuts and create original linoprints inspired by spring plants and wildlife, on this immersive and relaxing crafting day.

We begin with an introduction to linocut – how to use the carving tools and basic cutting techniques. At first, you will make your own small practice block to learn the techniques. You will be shown how to ink your lino block and burnish prints by hand.

After a break for lunch and tour of the flower fields, you will return to your creations. Once confident with the techniques, you will design your own A6 Block, taking inspiration from the gardens, resource materials or your own images, before printing it on to a range of stationery items.

By the end of the workshop you will have several completed images to take home.
