This brand-new workshop is a relaxing & creative workshop set in the stunning surroundings of Pitfield Barn. This workshop combines macramé, with a hands-on introduction to sustainable flower farming from Emma at Pitfield barn, making for a unique experience. This workshop is suitable for beginners, & by the end of the session, you’ll have a beautifully handcrafted piece to display your flowers at home.
Welcome & Flower Farm Tour
Your workshop begins with a warm welcome from Paula of Cocoon&me & Emma of Pitfield Barn at the Pitfield Barn workshop studio.
Hand-Picked Seasonal Flowers
Emma will provide a guided tour of the flower fields, where you’ll learn about the varieties of flowers in bloom. A selection of seasonal flowers will be pre-cut for you to use in your arrangement. Weather permitting, you may also have the opportunity to cut a few extra stems to add to your bouquet.
Tea & Cake
After the tour, we’ll return to the Pitfield Barn workshop studio, where you can relax with tea/coffee & homemade cake before beginning the creative part of the session.
Macramé Workshop
Paula from Cocoon&me will guide you step by step through making a macramé vase cover. Your macramé vase cover will be made from soft, flexible, 5mm recycled cotton cord, available in a range of colours. The apothecary bottle vases we use have a vintage style, with a traditional flower vase shape & strong glass.
